Description
Up for auction is a cap tally for the Imperial Germany Navy for the S.M.S. RHEINLAND. It is 38.5 in length with solver wire. She was a dreadnought style battleship commissioned in 1910. She started her career with the High Seas Fleet and saw extensive action during WWI until 1918 when she ran aground while aiding the White Fins during the Finnish Civil War. Even though she was refloated, she was determined too damaged to warrant repairs so she was decommissioned and turned into a barracks ship. She was ceded to the allies after the war as reparations and broke up in 1920.
