WW1 German Prussian ersatz "Eisenblech" steel pickelhauben helmet dated 1914

Description

Very hard to find, WW1 German Prussian ersatz "Eisenblech" steel pickelhauben helmet dated 1914.
1914 and 57 stenciled inside.
Well used with many scratches, scrapes and small dents.
Liner is in rough condition and missing felt (?) padding.
No chinstrap.
The cockades appear to have been repainted.
The Prussian plate is attached to the helmet with a screw/bolt and nut, probably a later reattachment, maybe in the field?
