Rare WWI Imperial German Officer Pickelhaube w/Transport Case Depaheg Patent

Straight from the estate of a well-known military antique collector which includes over 30 helmets and pickelhaubes from pre-WW1 and WW2 era that will be listed on my page in the near future

.  None of these helmets have been professionally authenticated that I'm aware of and I am NOT an expert myself.  Anything mentioned herein is simply my uneducated opinion.  That said, all helmet sales are final and returns will not be accepted.  Please take that into consideration and please ask any and all questions you may have before bidding.
This appears to be a pretty rare officer or guard helmet with the stars along the top and imprinted into the bottom of the spike.  It appears to be structurally sound and straight with no signs of trauma or damage.  The outer leather shows some crazing but is still smooth and in great shape.  The leather liner on the inside of the chin strap is still intact and in good shape but shows signs of age.  The metal parts are all straight and undamaged and still super shiny.  The under side of the spike has the officer stars on it and is stamped with the initials J.M. or U.M., but due to the position I can't tell what else may be marked on it.  The inner leather liner is in great shape with only minor signs of wear.  The "Depaheg Patent" manufacturers name and logo depicting the Quadriga Chariot drawn by 4 horses on top of the Brandenburg Gate is embossed into the side of the liner, although its quite faded
.  The transport case is in great shape in and out and the handle is still intact, although the leather straps are heavily worn.
As previously stated, I am NOT an expert on these helmets but I have done my best to detail this item and point out any noticeable
discrepancies that may concern you as a buyer.  If I missed any important details or you want me to check something in particular, please ask before bidding.
