Original WW1 German helmet & restored painted mud color with sand mixed in by a reenactor. May have painted to appear as camouflage? Leather liner & band but no chinstrap. No size stamps because of the number of repaints but appears to be a 64? I believe this was a relic helmet but not 100% sure? It was advertised by Manion’s as being an original shell so bid carefully. Inside top appears to have repainted over extreme pitting but shell still solid & very heavy. An interesting unusual helmet. Hate to part with it.
