Description
In fair condition. The inner padding/chin straps are minimally remaining. The helmet itself is in pretty good shape. Scratches, but no major dings/dents. A note accompanies the helmet. This note is from a known relative who served in the war James Riley Bailey."This German helmet was given to me by a French Soldier in the Dugouts on the front line in the (see photo) 1918" (see second photo for reverse identification)
Sold as-is. A unique piece of history.
I will do my best, but I'm not 100% that the back pad will not detach in being packed or during shipping. It is currently attached by a literal thread.
