Antique WWI Imperial German Officer Pickelhaube Leather Helmet w/Transport Case

Straight from the estate of a well-known military antique collector which includes over 30 helmets and pickelhaubes from pre-WW1 and WW2 era that will be listed on my page in the near future

.  None of these helmets have been professionally authenticated that I'm aware of and I am NOT an expert myself.  Anything mentioned herein is simply my uneducated opinion.  That said, all helmet sales are final and returns will not be accepted.  Please take that into consideration and please ask any and all questions you may have before bidding.
This appears to be a pretty rare officers helmet with the stars on top and the transport case included.  This particular helmet is in great shape overall with no major signs of trauma or visible damage.  It appears to be structurally sound and straight.  The outer leather shows some crazing in areas but no big chunks missing anywhere.  The chinstrap is fully intact and in great condition.  The inner liner is in great shape and shows very little signs of wear.  Metal parts show no signs of damage and only minimal oxidization from age.  "75 W.G." imprinted on the button under the rear metal post.  The transport case is missing the inside and outside lock straps and shows signs of aging on the outside including some small chunks missing from the leather layer, but the inner cloth liner is still nice and fully intact.  This is a larger transport case standing in at 14" tall, 13" long and 11 1/2" wide.
As previously stated, I am NOT an expert on these helmets but I have done my best to detail this item and point out any noticeable
discrepancies that may concern you as a buyer.  If I missed any important details or you want me to check something in particular, please ask before bidding.
